Away from work, but still using his engineering and improvement skills, Dennis has been actively involved in the design of a solar powered milk pasteurisation unit.
He travelled out to Burundi at the end of May to help install the unit.
Once set up, people who have dairy cows can have their milk delivered to the centre for pasteurisation before it is sold on. The money each family gets helps them to pay for the cow they have been given, helps them to send their children to school and is an additional source of nutrition. ManEx has sent Dennis out with a present of an 18" Stillson pipe wrench as they're apparently somewhat difficult to come by in Burundi!
